Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the ViBE application ("ViBE", "the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms are between you and JV Studios ("we", "us", "our").
2. Description of Service
ViBE is a media player client application. It provides a user interface for browsing and playing audio files that reside on a Jellyfin media server operated and controlled entirely by the user.
ViBE does not host, store, cache, transmit, or distribute any media content.
All audio streams travel directly between your device and your own Jellyfin server. JV Studios has no access to, knowledge of, or control over any content you access through ViBE. We operate no content delivery infrastructure of any kind.
3. User Responsibilities and Content
Because ViBE connects to servers and content that you — not JV Studios — control, you are solely and entirely responsible for:
- The content stored on or accessible through your Jellyfin server
- Ensuring you hold all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions for any content you access through ViBE
- The security, maintenance, and operation of your Jellyfin server
- Compliance with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction, including copyright and intellectual property laws
- Any and all activity that occurs through your ViBE account
ViBE is intended for use with content you own or have the legal right to access. You agree not to use ViBE to access, stream, or distribute content in violation of any third party's intellectual property rights.
4. No Copyright Liability
JV Studios is not a streaming service. We do not license, host, or provide any audio content. ViBE functions solely as a client interface — equivalent in nature to a media player application that plays files from a location you control.
JV Studios bears no responsibility or liability for any infringement of copyright or other intellectual property rights arising from content accessed, played, or stored by users through ViBE. Any such liability rests solely with the user.
5. Account Terms
ViBE requires an account to use. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time from within the app's Settings screen, which permanently removes your data from our systems.
6. Third-Party Services
ViBE integrates with the following third-party services:
- Jellyfin — an open-source media server you self-host. JV Studios is not affiliated with the Jellyfin project.
- Supabase — used for account authentication only. Subject to Supabase's Privacy Policy.
7. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use ViBE to:
- Access or distribute content you do not have the legal right to use
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any digital rights management system
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any server, network, or system
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
ViBE is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. JV Studios does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Your use of ViBE is at your sole risk.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, JV Studios and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — ViBE, including but not limited to loss of data, content, or service access.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of ViBE after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
